Information

December YOTA (Youngsters on the Air) Month is a global initiative to inspire and engage youth in the fascinating world of amateur radio. In Malaysia, this month offers an incredible opportunity to showcase the talents and potential of young operators within our ham radio community. With the rise of modern communication technologies, many might view amateur radio as outdated, but the truth is far from it. Ham radio continues to be a platform for innovation, education, and international friendship, and the participation of youth ensures its growth and relevance in the future.

The Malaysian ham radio community has been actively promoting youth involvement through activities such as workshops, contests, and public events. December YOTA Month amplifies these efforts, encouraging young operators to take control of the microphone and connect with the global amateur radio network. By doing so, they not only gain technical skills but also develop confidence, teamwork, and a sense of global citizenship.

Let’s celebrate and support the youth in Malaysia who are making waves in the ham radio world. Their enthusiasm and creativity breathe new life into this age-old hobby, ensuring that amateur radio remains a vibrant and valuable resource for generations to come.
