Information

Throughout December, young people around the world will be active with the "YOTA" (Youngsters On The Air) special call sign. The idea is that young people bring their enthusiasm for the hobby to the amateur radio bands and show everyone that they are also part of the amateur radio community.

Anyone can also earn a YOTA diploma. To do this, you have to contact as many special stations as possible on as many bands and modes as possible. The QSOs can then also be confirmed by QSL card via the Clublog OQRS system.

The "December YOTA Month" diploma is advertised in the bronze, silver, gold and platinum classes. You can find the exact advertisement and the list of participating stations on the website.

Everyone is invited to get in touch with the YOTA stations and show them how much fun amateur radio can be. Please remember, however, that school and training stations are also participating in other countries and this could therefore be the first radio contact for your conversation partners. Please be patient if it doesn't work right away at the beginning and support the young people in their first conversations on the bands.

Germany will be taking part again this time with the special call sign DQ0YOTA. A special DOK has also been requested for the activity.
If you are younger than 26 years old and would like to operate with the YOTA special call sign, you are welcome to borrow it for your activity using the online loan form.
